Gynecomastia Treatment
Gynecomastia is the term used to describe the enlargement of male breasts. Despite still being a taboo subject, gynecomastia is very common in men of all ages who tend to feel very uneasy with the appearance of their chest.
Even though the condition may be monitored and treated with medication and lifestyle alterations, doctors recommend surgery for persistent cases.
The type of surgery used to treat gynecomastia is known as a mastectomy, whereby breast gland tissue is removed through a tiny incision on the areola. Liposuction can be used at the end of the surgery to create a harmonious appearance of the breasts.
