Sculptra\u00ae is a biostimulant with the active ingredient PLLA (Poly-L-Lactic Acid). This active ingredient has been used successfully and safely in medicine for several years. It has also been approved by the American FDA authority for use in collagen formation. When Sculptra\u00ae is injected, collagen production is stimulated in the deep layers of the skin and the connective tissue is tightened. The skin is visibly smoothed and its elasticity is increased. This is also the decisive difference to conventional hyaluronic acid fillers, which merely fill the skin. The natural result of Sculptra\u00ae with the body’s own collagen formation is visible after a few weeks.
