Tips for beach beauty & protection<\/h1>\n

We love the summer, and of course we love the sea and the sun, which make us feel relaxed and refreshed. However,\u00a0exposure<\/strong>\u00a0of our\u00a0skin<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0hair\u00a0<\/strong>to these summer indulgences requires a\u00a0high level of protection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0sun dries out and dehydrates the skin<\/strong>, while activating sebaceous glands that try to make up for the dryness. In the long term, the skin becomes more oily.\u00a0SPF 30<\/strong>\u00a0is considered the minimum acceptable sun protection factor to use on the skin.<\/p>\n

The lips are the most sensitive part of the face, as they don’t have natural protection of sebaceous glands, and require a special product to be protected. So, for the\u00a0lips<\/strong>\u00a0and the area around the\u00a0eyes<\/strong>, use a stick-suncream, while a cream or lotion suncream is fine for the rest of the\u00a0face<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For men,\u00a0<\/strong>the best options are spray or gel suncreams.<\/p>\n

The amount of suncream to use,\u00a0recommended by the USDA, is\u00a02 mg\/cm2. More simply, the required amount for the face should roughly correspond to 1\/3 teaspoon or the size of a hazelnut.<\/p>\n
